11ElevenScents Candle Co started because I love candles so much! I have to have them burning throughout our home. They’re relaxing and provide perfect peace. The number 11 is an extremely important and relevant number in my life. Both of sons birthdays are on the 11th of the month. The oldest in September, the youngest in March. Prior to that I would see the number 11 when I’d look at my phone, watch, TV, radio clock in the car.. literally it would be everywhere. It was crazy. So I thought there is something to this number 11. So I started to research what it meant and how it could have been affecting my life. Turns out it means an awakening or some what of a revelation. So that’s why the name was so important to me. I want all people to feel renewed and awakened when they smell these wonderful aromas and especially when they light or warm up our soy scented candles.
Soy wax is a natural, renewable resource. Soy wax is biodegradable and cleans up with plain old soap and water. Soy wax has a lower melting point than paraffin wax and because of this, soy candles will burn slower or longer than paraffin candles. Soy wax burns with zero petro soot, creating petro soot free candles.
Soy is better for your health: Soy burns cleaner and produces as much as 90 percent less soot than paraffin, reducing the amount of indoor air pollution produced over the course of your meal. ... Soy won't ruin your walls: The emissions from paraffin candles build up on walls, staining the paint in your home.
As a general rule, smaller votive candles burn about 7 to 9 hours for each ounce of wax you use. Larger candles with long wicks burn wax at a much faster rate. A typical estimate for larger candles averages 5 to 7 hours for each ounce, giving a 11-12-ounce candle 60 to 84 hours of burn time.
Other factors in the environment also affect your candle’s burn time, including: movement of air, amount of oxygen, and room temperature.
